It’s not so much a question of how often you lose your cool, but how fast you regain your soul composure.
After your next harrowing experience of an emotionally attached outburst of drama and trauma, pull out the high point of consciousness from your last meditation (and hope to God you had one that morning) and be the fastest one to pull the trigger of that peace awareness to regain your soul composure.
Yes, it will all come down to how willing you are to meditate, how slow you are able to breath, how much you are able to relax, and how deep you are able to love.
Krishna in the Gita says, “Sometimes a governed mind will feel the sense-storms sweep and wrest strong self-control by the roots. Regain your kingdom! Conquer this and sit on Me intent.”
The composure point that you are seeking is the truth that you and your Beloved are one. I asked Trisha the other day to write a song with me. The first two thoughts out of her mouth became the first two lines of our new song, “The veils are thinning, I feel You so near. My heart is open, Beloved You are here. I am thine, Thou art mine, Beloved we are one.”
Teach yourself to be the fastest draw in the West by remembering your forever oneness with the Love and Joy of the Beloved. Begin with awareness of breath. Receive the consciousness of your Beloved with the inhale and practice your “draw” of remembering the oneness with the exhale. Inhale “Beloved”; exhale “we are one.”
The next step is to align with that truth by learning how to completely relax physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Open your hands, empty your mind “pockets”, empty your heart “soap operas” and let the whole shebang go.
Thirdly, feel with all your faith the oneness, “I am Thine, Thou art mine, Beloved we are one.” Of course it’s hard to feel any refinement of truth when you’ve been taken over by the emotions of right and wrong. But who cares, be the fastest draw in the West to practice a tranquil heart anyway.
Krishna says, “As often as your heart breaks—wild and wavering—from control, so must you recurb it and rein it back to the soul’s governance."
Finally, align with the Cosmic Love that loves you unceasingly, unfailingly and precisely with every breath you receive. Join forces with that Love and love yourself from head to toes.
In short, regain your soul composure, your peace, your joy, your love and your connection with the Beloved ASAP – anytime, anywhere. Be the fastest draw in the West.
